Easter Brunch... Quiches, Bagels, Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheeses, Smoked Whitefish Salad & Mimosas

 Quarantine supper tonite...   Live from NYC...  Happy Easter 🐣 

65°F on the thermometer...  light breeze...  azure skies...  picture perfect.  Kin traveling to see family...  Easter Sunday...  vaccinated folks gathering in small groups...  grandparents finally able to hugs grandchildren after a year of separation and isolation.  Spring symbolizing rebirth and growth.


First time in a year able to have the family over for an indoor brunch...  celebrating both Easter and our DIL’s birthday.  As Ina Garten says...  make a few things...  buy a few things...  made a couple of quiches...  one broccoli with cheddar... the other spinach mushroom and Gouda... also whipped up chive and garlic cream cheese...  bought whitefish salad...  smoked salmon and terrific NY bagels.   Bought Champagne served with fresh orange juice as Mimosas...  DIL’s folks ordered the cake...  delicious tiramisu... family favorite... served alongside coffee and tea.  Overall a delicious day of celebration and renewal.


As this week is expected to be in the 60’s each day...  time to plant lettuce in the new planter.  So excited to give it a try... seeing the heads popping up will be reward enough 🥬


Covid has not left us just yet...  variants still making the rounds...  infecting unvaccinated folks at a rapid rate.  As of this week all folks 16 and older are eligible in NY...  make that appointment and #GetYourJabOn  be part of the solution...  in the interim...  double mask up...  sail through the market...  limit interactions and wash those germy hands 😷💕
