Vaccinated supper tonite… Live from NYC…
Stunning day in the Big Breezy Apple 🍎 Low humidity… high temp 85°F… nice brisk wind… our tenant has been sitting on her nest for a few weeks now… hoping to catch a glimpse of the baby robins soon… she and Dad flew off for supper together for a bit tonite… but she was quickly back to tend to her duties 🐦 Saw the falcon again soaring on thermals… noticeably less pigeons around… couldn’t be more pleased 🦅
Breakfast… 2 oz espresso, 8 oz whole milk poured over ice (I am definitely a woman of habit with my coffee 🧋) and water 💦 Hubs enjoying his cottage cheese and berries… Mr Sam stretched out in the shade of the lemon tree snoozing… kibble and water nearby 😻
55 minute hilly walk with Mariya prior to supper 🏃🏻♀️on this gorgeous 75°F early evening
Late afternoon cocktail: 2 oz Bombay Sapphire Gin, 8 oz Cananda Dry Diet Tonic, juice of 1 lime… poured over ice (As Ina Galen says, “It’s five o’clock somewhere” Cheers 🍸
Supper… 8 oz freshly smoked (by the hubs) steelhead (tastes similar to salmon) fresh mozzarella, 2 baby dill pickles, 4 homemade pickled greenhouse green tomatoes, greenhouse kirby cuke and lots of water 💦
The steelhead was such a treat… smokey, moist, incredibly flavorful… hubs did a superb smoke! 😋
BA-5 variant spreading rapidly across the US… hospitalizations lagging behind following Jul 4 gatherings… finger crossed 🤞 that they stay low… now is the time to #GetYourJabOn
