His ‘n Hers Suppers: His... Bronzino with Sautéed Rice, Corn and Peas... Hers... Seared Tuna with Soy Sauce

Quarantine supper tonite...   Live from NYC...

Cool sun...  typical spring day...  mid 60’s...  a volunteer poked its head out of the rosemary bush today...  sorry baby oak tree...  you’re time is up...  buried last season by our local squirrel community...  sprouting with the warmth of spring...  now lying in the lawn for a squirrelly snack.  Couple of morning doves made a nest in our neighbors arbor...  squirrels ate the eggs...  nature can be a cruel mistress.

Iced coffee ☕️ and sourdough toast with butter...  the hubs enjoying his hot cup with oatmeal cinnamon and raisins.  It’s Friday...  sooooo...  fish on the menu...  each of us choosing our own critter for supper.  A bit of time for relaxation before taking the hubs to PT...   a new crop of exercises had him exhausted and sweaty post work out.

Checked on the greenhouse...  all the transplants growing in their new environs...  cucumbers sprouting tendrils...  tomatoes getting taller each day...  nasturtiums now 10” high...   lettuces perked up leaflets growing... pleased with progress.

Supper tonite...  his and hers dinner...  his... sautéed rice, corn and peas...  bronzino with olive oil...  salt & pepper... marjoram...  and fresh lime juice...  and cauliflower florets with olive oil and balsamic...  hers... seared tuna steak...  with soy sauce marinade...  perfectly rare...  so tender...  accompanied by glass of delicious Verdejo from Spain...  Wild Berry Zinger tea for the hubs and a chocolate chip cranberry brownie for each.

Covid infections have dropped to levels below 2% in NYC as those getting their jabs have increased...  the plan is working...   make that appointment and #GetYourJabOn  be part of the solution...  until then...  you know what to do...  mask up...  limit interactions...  zoom through the market and wash those germy hands 😷💕

How was your day?   What on your plate?   Thoughts?
