Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…
Wind 💨 winding down to a light breeze… sun ☀️ peeking out from behind clouds ☁️ skies morphing from blue to grey as the afternoon wanes… birds emerging from hiding places… squirrels 🐿 returning to nibble nuts 🌰
Breakfast on the deck… light sweatshirt… hot tea 🫖 for two… mini wraps to go… the hubs in his workshop… off to the market… trying out a new spot. Ever heard of Lidl? Headquartered in Germany with discount food stores throughout the EU… opening in the past couple of years in NYC 🏪
Not certain what to expect… pleasantly surprised… lots of produce… many choices… everything clean, bright, very fresh… refrigerated cases spotless… no off scents… meat, poultry and fish sections well stocked… bakery fresh with pleasing aromas… grocery aisles well lit with major brands as well as Lidl’s own… but the BIG surprise were the prices… significantly less expensive than any grocer in the area… enough to make the 20 minute drive well worth it… for those of you in the area… check out Lidl’s… highly recommend 👍🏼👍🏼
Supper tonite… leftovers… for the hubs Winter White Bean & Sausage Soup… yours truly enjoying remaining rotini and meatballs… a bright fresh salad alongside to lighten up the meal as well as two fabulous whole wheat rolls from Lidl’s… crusty… perfect accompaniment to soup 🥣
Stopped off at Mom’s for a surprise pop in… brought her some ground turkey from the market… chatted briefly… then off to prepare supper 🍝🥗
Covid vaxxes for little ones will be available soon… kids need protection too… back to school… playing with friends… staying healthy… set the right example #GetYourJabOn protecting yourself helps them too
Mask up… limit interactions… hustle through the market and wash those germy hands 💕😷
