Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…
A rare warm fall day here in the Big Apple 🍎  72°F… a bit humid… warmth before the big nor’easter begins tonite…  squirrels 🐿 out… munching acorns 🌰 digging in the lawn… stocking up for winter… birds quieter today… animals sensing a change in the atmosphere ⛈
Breakfast on the deck… iced coffee🧋toasted english muffin with münster cheese… the hubs hot java ☕️ accompanying oatmeal adorned with blueberries and banana… Mr Sam pacing the deck… meowing… apparently feeling the advancing storm ☔️
Prepping for the winds 💨 to come… pulled and trimmed leeks… ready for vichyssoise to be made in the coming days… planted the spearmint, dianthis and marigolds in the ground… trimmed off the last of the green peppers 🫑 and tomatoes 🍅 collected all the washed pots, stakes… secured the small tables and placed all inside the greenhouse… stacked the deck chairs 🪑 storm ready!!
Supper tonite… meatless Monday… composed salad… jammy eggs… chick peas… cucumber from the garden… tomato… roasted beets… mushrooms… avocado… kalamata olives… french breakfast radishes from the garden… jalapeño jack cubes… sharp cheddar cubes… mixed greens… all splashed with lime juice… homemade caesar dressing for dipping… toasted rye bread schmeared with avocado and topped with sardines 😋
Also pictured… goodies from the weekend… cowboy caviar… Grandma’s almond shortbread cookies… small batch… didn’t stand a chance of making it past supper with friends 🤣 so delicious 😋
