Calamari Two Ways… Penne with Tomato sauce… Cheese Plate & Salad

 Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…

Cold snap… temps in the 40’s…  blustery…  piles of red, orange and yellow leaves rise in whorls…  settling to the pavement once again…  brief smattering of drizzle…  sun bursting through the clouds for an afternoon  sunset 🌅 


Breakfast… hot coffee for two…  Spanish omelette with toasted tortilla for the hubs…  Mr Sam snuggled in his box under the kitchen desk snoozing… banana to go and off to the market… 


Another trip to Lidl… most interesting German based company…  stocking up on chicken thighs… salmon… a few delightful cheeses…  organic milk… mountains of produce…  and of course… a mini chocolate croissant (2” long… so cute) snack for the ride home 🏡 


The hubs in his garage workshop… smoking a few jalapeños for his omelettes in the driveway…  enjoying his time despite the chill 


Supper tonite… leftovers from our dinner out with dear friends Arlene & John at Cara Mia… a delightful Italian restaurant nearby…  penne with tomato sauce…  calamari fra diavlo… fried calamari and a fresh green salad alongside…  a trio of cheeses from Lidl along with almonds and pita crackers…  Brie… Gorgonzola…  Horseradish Cheddar…  delicious a second time around… served with Line 39 Pinot Noir 😋


Covid infections inching up once again… NYC authorizing all adults 18 & over for boosters…  as the temps drop and folks move indoors risks increase dramatically…  several states already battling full ICU’s… not vaxxed yet?   #GetYourJabOn  set the example for your family and community 

Mask up… limit interactions... buzz through the market and wash those germy hands 💕😷
