Snapper, Farro, Roasted Tomatoes and Butternut Squash & Snoozing Mr Sam

🎶 Blue skies 🎵 nothing but blue skies  🎶 blue skies do I see 🎵 

Puffy clouds letting the sun play hide and seek…  two sparrows on a power line chatting amiably…  waiting for the light to change…  surprise…  stunning row of trees…  dressed in bright yellow leaves…  canopy sheltered from the harsh winds…  perfect day for a drive 🍂 🍁 


Breakfast…  coffee ☕️ for two… eggs and toast for the hubs…  english muffin with munster for yours truly…  zooming out the door taking Mom for her check up…  excellent report all around…  enjoying the outing and drive 😘


Afternoon of catch up calls… paperwork… the finally off to the kitchen for a chance to relax and COOK… aaahhhh 🙃


Super tonite… appetizer of brie, gorgonzola and horseradish cheddar with a few triscuits…  the main event…  roasted fresh caught snapper with olive oil herbs and lime 🎣 farro with onion and chicken stock 🌾 roasted tomatoes 🍅 and baked butternut squash with cinnamon…  served alongside Line 39 Sauvignon Blanc…  cheers 🥂 


Mr Sam…primo kitchen helper and taster extraordinaire… lounging in his favorite box while dinner is prepared…  too cute 🥰😽

Hydroponics Update - Thriving Lettuces 🥬 Strawberries 🍓 Spinach and Parsley 🌿

 Hydroponics update…  excitement!!  The lettuces are thriving… we have had a few salads… the leaves are so delicate… the hubs has planted another row of lettuces creating a second harvest time… smart… along with dill… strawberries… spinach and parsley… absolutely amazing… all in our 2nd floor office!!  Woot woot 💕😷

Whirlwind weekend… such fun… Thanksgiving with the family on Thursday… a quiet supper at home on Friday… dinner with delightful friends Saturday and finally our own thanksgiving meal today 🦃😋


Blustery chill defining the weather these days…  few leaves left on trees… howling winds blowing across the avenues…  gargantuan piles in reds yellows and browns clustered across lawns and sidewalks… waiting for anyone to jump right in 🍁 🍂 


Breakfast… coffee ☕️ for two…  toasted english muffins… his with turkey lettuce and Mayo… hers topped with melted muenster… a relaxing Sunday… of course… a few chores to accomplish (laundry 🧺) in between cooking the turkey and sides 🦃


Supper tonite… 9lb turkey roasted stuffed with a quartered lemon 🍋 dipped in coarse salt and a quartered onion…  cornbread veggie stuffing topped with frizzled onions…  tomato  🍅 cucumber 🥒 red onion salad…  summer squash with romano bread crumbs and olive oil and roasted baby peppers… and best of all…. Lots of turkey leftovers 😋😁


Omicron covid variant has spread across many countries around the globe 🌎 We have little information yet on the ramifications of Omicron… it is expected that information will be discerned over the next two weeks…  especially important to mask up… limit interactions...  fly through the market… and wash those germy hands 😷💕

Happy Thanksgiving 2021 🦃

 Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…

A mild day…  mid 50’s…  sunshine…  autumn leaves glowing as we ride along the highway…  bright reds… orangey hues… brilliant yellows lighting up the roadway between trees with bare arms…  birds in flocks overhead practicing for their long migrations soon…  driving in light traffic… grateful for the opportunity to be with family after last years pandemic meals 🥰


Picking up Mom and her sweet aide… joining us on our drive and for supper…  she is thrilled to be able to be with the family once again… with everyone vaxxed and many already boosted she is safe among us 🙃


Arriving at our destination… happy… hungry… filled with anticipation… settling in for delightful conversation… delicious hors d’oeuvres… a sumptuous repast… lots of love and laughter around the thanksgiving table 


Appetizer of shrimp and crab salad with boiled egg halves atop… so decadent 🍤 🦀  Supper:  Perfectly roasted turkey 🦃 with couple of extra legs wrapped in bacon 🥓 homemade green bean casserole 🥘  delicious stuffing…  creamy mashed potatoes 🥔 sweet potato bake 🍠  crisp green salad 🥗 sliced tomatoes and onions 🍅🧅 gravy and lots of wine 🍷 


Fruit course of honeydew 🍈 cantelope, strawberries 🍓 and watermelon 🍉 followed by chocolate covered cheesecake 🥮 tea 🫖 and coffee ☕️ 


This weekend we will be having our own small thanksgiving meal at home giving us the opportunity to enjoy leftovers in the coming days 🦃😋


Driving back to Mom’s… all of us full and pleased with the days enjoyment… light conversation… a few more laughs… an excellent day 🥰❤️


A reminder… our family has chosen to be fully vaxxed and boosted against both the flu and covid…  this gave us the ability to gather with our oldest member… my 91 year old Mom… our youngest member… a 3 month old baby boy… without feeling afraid of getting our loved ones sick, hospitalized… or worse… please consider your friends and family when making decisions about your vaccination status 😷💕

‘‘Twas the night ‘ere thanksgiving

And all through the house

Lots of cooking and baking

And a big ole fat grouse


The pies and the crumbles assembled with care 

In the hopes that vaxxed family

Soon would be there


Then all of a sudden there arose such a clatter

I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter

When what to my wondering eyes did appear

But Mr Sam on the counter gnawing without fear


With a little old puss cat so hungry and quick

I knew in a moment he gave it a lick

More rapid than lions the leg he devoured

Apparently at it for more than an hour


And I whistled and shouted and called him by name

Now Sam stop that munching you’ll not eat that game

To the top of the deck 

To the top of the wall

He dashed away… in his box… grabbed leg and all 😽

Eggplant Lasagna

 Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…

Classic fall day…  51°F cloudy skies…  blustery…  dropping into the high 30’s overnight…  squirrels 🐿 working overtime packing their little bellies full…  fattening up for the long winter nap ahead…  more and more trees…  bare limbs rattling in the wind…  dusk arriving…  their long eerie shadows resemble spirits flailing their arms…  the winds howling aaaooouuuu 💨 


Breakfast… coffee ☕️ and orange cranberry corn cakes for two…  also, cottage cheese with banana and berries for the hubs…  checking on the greenhouse… all is well… chilly but tolerable… the heat lamp keeping temps  5°F above outside levels… no frost zone 🌡 


Few hours of paperwork and calls then off to the kitchen…. Playtime 🙃

Meatless Monday supper tonite…  eggplant lasagna…  layers of roasted eggplant seasoned with olive oil, salt and pepper… roasted on parchment at 400°F for about 10 minutes each side…  intermixed with ricotta cheese blended with an egg and parsley…  shredded mozzarella and homemade marinara… tomato purée seasoned with garlic, onion, salt, pepper, oregano, thyme, smoked paprika, cinnamon and fresh basil from the hubs hydroponic garden…  layer of sauce on the bottom… then… eggplant…  sauce… ricotta… mozzarella repeated three times finally topped with a layer of eggplant light sauce and loads of mozzarella and shredded Parmesan… baked at 350°F for 30 minutes… rested for 20 minutes before cutting and serving…  mmmmm…  so warming on this chilly night 😋


The thanksgiving rush is on…  airports ✈️ train stations 🚉 and roadways 🚘 all experiencing crowding…  hope your vaxxed 💉 and are t part of the post holiday surge #GetYourJabOn  very important when traveling to mask up… limit interactions…  sanitize those hands frequently and stay safe 😷💕

Pernil, Chicharrón, Brown Basmati Rice, Egg Onion Rolls and Slaw

 Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…

Cloudless skies…  breezy…  temps not able to reach  50°F with ineffective sunshine…  weather vacillating…  unusually warm…  unseasonably cold…  squirrels 🐿 busily fattening up…  cold months ahead…  munching acorns 🌰  burying them in the ground…  nibbling remaining vegetation as autumn approaches it’s close…  many trees already waving leafless arms…  standing like naked soldiers awaiting orders 


Saturday…  no chores…  no calls…  no paperwork…  no errands…  kitchen play day 🙃


Breakfast alongside prepping pork shoulder for pernil…  hot coffee ☕️ for two… the hubs enjoying his omelette and toast… yours truly seasoning the patted dry meat for the slow cooker…  salt, pepper, garlic, onion, thyme, oregano, smoked paprika and turmeric…  bone going into the freezer for stock…  folding the pork back into itself…  fat side down…  into the slow cooker on high for the next three hours ⏰ 


Some time available while the pork cooks…  unraveling the dining room (aka storage room) from the pandemic…  putting away extra safety equipment…  small box of N95 masks…  extra packs of surgical masks…  bottles of hand sanitizer…  boxes of poly gloves…  clearing out the clutter…  making space 


Popping over to the market for shredded cabbage…  time to make the slaw…  squeezing in the salt “cooking” the cabbage… dressed with a creamy lemon dijonaise…  egg onion rolls… brown basmati rice… three perfect accompaniments to the pernil


Out of the slow cooker and onto a roasting pan covered with parchment…  fat side up…  long slits cut into the fat to render and baste the pork through the next two hours of baking at 350°F…  skin crisping up… chícharrón… meat tender and juicy…  been making various pernil recipes for over 20 years…  this was the best one yet…  so pleased with the outcome…  forgot to snap a photo of the meal…  just the slaw… 


Such a treat for the hubs…  his favorite supper… celebrating his graduation from PT… served alongside a delicious Cabernet 🍷 Cheers 


Thanksgiving and the winter holidays coming up…  families gathering to enjoy food and company after a long lonely year of pandemic  #GetYourJabOn  don’t be the one to spread covid to your loved ones 😷💕

Kielbasa with Escarole and Baby Yukon Gold Potatoes & Cheese Plate

 Resurgence supper tonite….  Live from NYC…

Gorgeous weather yesterday…  bright autumnal skies… temps hovering just below 70°F…  perfect day for outside play…  checking on the greenhouse…  snap peas coming along…  french breakfast radishes ready for harvest…  parsley healthy…  giving everyone a drink of water…  checking for unwelcome visitors…  heat lamp working perfectly… Mr Sam spending the day on the deck…  enjoying the rare warmth


Last night…  storms blew by…  rain and wind…  todays weather a repeat minus the delightful temperature…  high?… 48°F in bright chilly sun ☀️ 


Breakfast with a dear friend this morning…  spent a couple of hours visiting and drinking tea 🫖 a delightful change of pace…  the hubs enjoying his cottage cheese with berries, banana, green apple and hot coffee ☕️ 


Brought the hubs to his last PT session today…  graduation day!!  He has completed recovery ❤️‍🩹  Instructions from PT…  continue exercises at home to maintain musculature 💪  Quick trip to the post office, bank & market picking up odds and ends…  scooting back to pick up the hubs after his last workout


Supper tonite…  kielbasa with escarole and baby yukon gold potatoes…  smokey…  garlicky…  blended perfectly with the bitterness of the escarole… followed by a cheese plate…  gorgonzola…  brie…  horseradish cheddar and a few triscuit to finish the meal…  how very continental  👌🏼🤣


Covid still a threat… 257 million folks worldwide have contracted the virus… over 5 million souls lost…  in the midst of the 4th wave worldwide…  not vaxxed yet?  Scared of needles?  So many of us have a fear of needles…  we can do it…  look away when the jab approaches… it’s over in a millisecond #GetYourJabOn  protect yourself…. your loved ones…  your community…

Ground Turkey with Red Beans, Salad, Roasted Yams, Roasted Broccoli & Naan

Bright sunshiny day…  decidedly chilly… temps… mid 40’s… blustery…  blowing hats off heads… scarves fluttering… folks snuggled into winter coat hoods…  our local neighborhood squirrel 🐿 taking the opportunity to lunch on the deck…  leaving a scattering of acorn shells and caps…  birds in flocks practicing for the coming migrations 

No time for breakfast… hubs running into Manhattan for his annual visit with his MD at NYU Langone…  driving him to the subway 🚇 line for his short trip…  scooting back home just in time for a cup of hot coffee ☕️ to shake off the chill…  post appointment and pick up…  turkey and gouda wraps 🌯 with lettuce, mayonnaise and a cup of hot tea 🫖 for two 

Afternoon of phone calls 📞 paperwork 📝  Mr Sam snoozing contentedly in the waning sun ☀️ 

Supper tonite… ground turkey with red beans and light tomato beer sauce… not quite chili…  the hubs adding his recently smoked jalapeños to his plate (waaaay to spicy for me) served alongside fresh naan… crisp green salad…  roasted sweet potatoes 🍠  roasted asparagus…  and an ice cold Modelo Negro 🍺 

Covid wave increasing across most states…. hospitalizations among the unvaccinated climbing…  Boosters available for adults 18 & over in several states… expecting the CDC to recommend it nationwide this week... not vaxxed yet?  #GetYourJabOn  Mask up…  limit interactions…  fly through the market and wash those germy hands 😷💕

Calamari Two Ways… Penne with Tomato sauce… Cheese Plate & Salad

Cold snap… temps in the 40’s…  blustery…  piles of red, orange and yellow leaves rise in whorls…  settling to the pavement once again…  brief smattering of drizzle…  sun bursting through the clouds for an afternoon  sunset 🌅 


Breakfast… hot coffee for two…  Spanish omelette with toasted tortilla for the hubs…  Mr Sam snuggled in his box under the kitchen desk snoozing… banana to go and off to the market… 


Another trip to Lidl… most interesting German based company…  stocking up on chicken thighs… salmon… a few delightful cheeses…  organic milk… mountains of produce…  and of course… a mini chocolate croissant (2” long… so cute) snack for the ride home 🏡 


The hubs in his garage workshop… smoking a few jalapeños for his omelettes in the driveway…  enjoying his time despite the chill 


Supper tonite… leftovers from our dinner out with dear friends Arlene & John at Cara Mia… a delightful Italian restaurant nearby…  penne with tomato sauce…  calamari fra diavlo… fried calamari and a fresh green salad alongside…  a trio of cheeses from Lidl along with almonds and pita crackers…  Brie… Gorgonzola…  Horseradish Cheddar…  delicious a second time around… served with Line 39 Pinot Noir 😋


Covid infections inching up once again… NYC authorizing all adults 18 & over for boosters…  as the temps drop and folks move indoors risks increase dramatically…  several states already battling full ICU’s… not vaxxed yet?   #GetYourJabOn  set the example for your family and community

Roasted Shrimp & Vegetables… Hydroponic Lettuce… Appetizer: Hummus, Celery, Tomato & Queso Fresco

 Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…

Cool down beginning… high temp below 60°F… vanilla skies…  hoodie required…  blowers buzzing…  collecting leaves in piles…  few hours remaining before the rains arrive ☔️ 


Breakfast… tea 🫖 and bananas for two…  oatmeal and berries for the hubs… off to the workshop to continue his project 🔨🔧 


Greenhouse time… setting up for the colder months… cleaned and aired benches back inside… emptied pots stacked underneath…  five gallons of water in plastic bottles…   perfect heat sink…   radishes…  pea sprouts…  spearmint…  parsley…  nasturtiums…  all back inside…  single heat lamp raising the temp a few degrees warmer than outside…  plants tolerate cold… long as they don’t have frost on their leaves 🍃 

Couple more weeks before rosemary and thyme join the greenhouse bunch 

Really enjoy having fresh herbs long as possible 🪴 


Supper tonite… appetizer… hummus… celery sticks… cherry tomatoes and queso fresco…  main dish… roasted shrimp… roasted peppers and onions… sautéed peas and corn in a light garlic olive oil sauce… salad courtesy of the hubs hydroponic garden…  fresh black seed simpson… tender… sweet… dressed with a very light vinaigrette… a glass of Vinho Verde accompanying 🥂 dessert… coffee and vanilla ice cream 🍨 


Veterans Day… a reminder to thank a veteran for defending our democracy… Dad… a WWII veteran who passed on Veterans Day… he lived a long admirable life of 91 years…  vets deserve our respect 🎖

Meatloaf on repeat… Salad… Biscuits

 Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…

Another day of clear azure skies… temps in the mid 60’s… light breeze… just cool enough for a light jacket… spotted a pair of hawks soaring on thermals over the highway… trees sporting bright reds and oranges before their long winter naps… enjoying this delightful warm up before it ends in the coming days ☀️ 


Iced coffee🧋the hubs enjoying his hot java ☕️ with cottage cheese and berries… Mr Sam out on the deck loafing in the warm sun 🌞 Splitting a turkey cheese sandwich with the hubs for lunch then off to visit Mom 🥰


Found Mom sitting in her favorite chair reading 📖 she is feeling perkier… the cardiologist lowered one medication and eliminated another…  the change in her affect is positive… she is more alert and energetic… we sat and chatted for a couple of hours… her recall of events and locations spot on… very pleased with the excellent care she is receiving from her sweet aides 😄


Supper tonite… meatloaf on repeat… served alongside a fresh salad with avocado… roasted red peppers & a balsamic vinaigrette… freshly baked Happy Belly biscuits with whipped buttah… mmmm… so soft and pillowy… far superior to another company that begins with a P (shhhhh… don’t tell)

and a glass of Vinho Verde… love those teeny bubbles 🥂


Watching little ones get vaxxed makes the heart happy ❤️😁 Miss H… such a brave girl… so many others waiting in line with their folks… parents setting the example for their kids #GetYourJabOn  so much better than having to get monoclonal antibodies infused… or taking a pill with very unpleasant side effects for a week… mask up… limit interactions… slide through the market and wash those germy hands 💕😷

Meatloaf… Brussels Sprouts… Rice Pilaf

 Resurgence supper tonite…  Live from NYC…

Spectacular… 67°F…  azure skies…  bright sunshine ☀️ light breeze…  so enjoying this warm up…  jacket not required… Mr Sam sprawled out on the deck soaking up some sun…  autumn leaves 🍁 🍂 falling like snow… their bright vibrant colors adorning oaks and maples alike 🌲 🌳 


Toasted english muffin with melted swiss along with iced coffee🧋the hubs enjoying hot oatmeal and berries with his java ☕️  Spent time out on the deck checking the few remaining veggies… snap peas adorned with while blooms… parsley bright green and healthy… radishes peeking above the soil… sweet potato vines still green and fresh…  a few more days before the greenhouse will be set up for the cold months and these few beauties and their cousins… rosemary and thyme… join them for their long nap 😴 💤 


Supper tonite… meatloaf… two thirds ground chuck… one third ground turkey… added in the usual suspects plus ground mustard powder… gave the loaf a nice kick… beefy without being too heavy… made a quick sauce for the top out of ketchup… Worcestershire sauce… dijon mustard…  served alongside roasted brussels sprouts and brown rice orzo pilaf… a glass of Vinho Verde rounded out the meal… dessert… ice cream… coffee and vanilla… so creamy 🍦


So glad border are reopening to international travelers… families separated for all these the past months finally reunited…  #GetYourJabOn and help our country continue to decrease the infection rate…  mask up… limit interactions…  skate through the market and wash those germy hands 😷💕

Meatless Monday Mushroom Pepper Onion Sauté over Rice Pilaf & Cranberry Cordial

Delightful day…  sunny ☀️ warm up beginning…  63°F… mild enough for Mr Sam to enjoy his day out in the greenhouse… currently plant free…  loves sniffing in all the corners… lounging in his box 📦 without restraint… one happy puss 😽


Breakfast… iced coffee🧋toasted english muffin with melted swiss… hubs enjoying his hot oatmeal with berries and coffee ☕️ Off to the workshop to continue his project…  spent much of the day on paperwork and calls…  late afternoon approaching… skies darkening early… time to play in the kitchen 🫕


Took time to make Susan Pesznecker’s Cranberry Cordial… thank you Susan… incredibly easy… done in under 10 minutes…  letting it steep for the next 6 weeks… something to look forward to as we delve deeper into the darkest time of the year… approaching the longest night on the winter solstice… time for a cocktail 🍸 


Meatless Monday… another triumph… roasted yellow and green peppers 🫑 roasted onions 🧅 sautéed mushrooms in garlic 🧄 red beans… simmered  with homemade chicken stock… smoked paprika and dried oregano served over brown rice orzo pilaf… yummy 😋 Of course, the hubs enjoyed his with a good splash of Tabasco and a side of leftover chicken thigh (meatless isn’t his thing)  Served alongside Josh Cabernet for him… Casual Garcia Vinho Verde for her… Dessert… vanilla ice cream and decaf ☕️ for the hubs… coffee ice cream 🍦 for yours truly


Another milestone today… international travel opening for vaccinated tourists… Canadian border opened for vaxxed folks as well… certainly seems like #GetYourJabOn means less restrictions… so grateful for the Pfizer mini dose for kiddos… keeping them safe… in school and on grandparents laps… so important… meanwhile…. A tad milder… double nickels on the old thermometer… warm up coming little by little… planning to enjoy every moment before the big chill returns… was sad to see it getting dark so early… another 6 weeks of earlier and earlier sunsets… then… sunsets begin to happen later and later once again… something to look forward to ☀️ 


Breakfast… tea 🫖 for one… coffee ☕️ for the hubs… eggs and toast… leftover eggplant casserole on the lunch menu… served nice and hot in the hubs garage workshop ~no heat~  Off to the market to pick up a few odds and ends…  inbetween weekly shopping trips ran out of milk 🥛 apples 🍏 and ~ gasp ~ ice cream 🍨 


Supper tonite with friends who live just around the corner… such fun…. lots of laughs…  menu… roasted chicken thighs… roasted potatoes… roasted peppers and onions… crisp green salad… delicious Josh Cabernet 🍷 and for dessert… ice cream 🍦 coffee ☕️ and tea 🫖  A delightful evening 😋

Bright sun ☀️ chill breeze… crunch of acorns 🌰 underfoot…  swirling fall leaves 🍁 🍂 dancing on the wind 💨 last afternoon of light before clocks 🕰 turn back an hour


Couple more days until Persephone phase begins… giving less than 10 hours of daylight… lasts three months 🌜Almost time to set up the greenhouse for winter…  rosemary… thyme… radishes… parsley…  snap pea shoots… cold tolerant… avoiding frost damage…  small heat lamp…. plants marking time through the dark cold season 


Breakfast indoors… tea for two 🫖 steak & eggs 🍳 for the hubs… then off to his workshop…  paperwork…  phone calls 📞 the off to the kitchen for playtime


Supper tonite… roasted eggplant 🍆 slices layered with meat sauce… mozzarella… topped with Parmesan then baked for 30 minutes at 350°F… delicious 😋  served alongside a crisp green salad with avocado and lime vinaigrette… glass of Line 39 Sauvignon Blanc… crisp… tingly 🥂


Kiddos getting vaxxed… covid on the decline… new medications possibly reducing serious disease and death… a chance to help humanity beat back the pandemic… flu season approaching #GetYourJabOn  set that example… meanwhile… mask up…  limit interactions…  fly through the market and wash those germy hands 💕😷

Tagliatelle Bolognese with Parmesan & a Surprise Bouquet 💐

 Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…

The big chill has arrived…  squeaking out 50°F…  dropping into the high 30’s overnight…  brrrr 🥶  jacket weather…  glad for the windows surrounding the office space…  solar warmth so welcome ☀️ too chilly for Mr Sam who spent the day lounging in the kitchen 😽


Breakfast… hot tea 🫖 toasted english muffin with münster…  the hubs hot oatmeal accompanied by berries and coffee ☕️ a quick turkey mini wrap for lunch then off to take Mom to the cardiologist for a check up…  wearing a heart monitor for the next two weeks…  part of her a-fib follow up… small decreases in two meds indicating a bit of stability… all good news 😁🥰


A while back we donated some clothing, a table and TV to a young man who lost everything in a fire… a sweet thank you note accompanying a beautiful surprise bouquet of daisies… such friendly flowers 💐 from a sweet soul 


Supper tonite… something quick…  weeknight bolognese with fresh tagliatelle…  Parmesan and fresh mozzarella…  crisp green salad with balsamic vinaigrette and a well deserved glass of Sauvignon Blanc… hot tea to warm the cockles


Covid deaths here in the US have reached 750,000 souls… let’s not lose anymore people we love 💕 #GetYourJabOn  set the example for your circle… mask up… limit interactions… glide through the market and wash those germy hands  💕😷

BREAD DAY… with Eggs and Breakfast Sausage

 Resurgence supper tonite… Live from NYC…

Sun 🌞 playing hide and seek with clouds ☁️ peeking out every so often then disappearing back into the fluff… definite autumnal chill in the air… crisp… cool… light breeze… temps hovering in the mid 50’s…  red, orange and yellow leaves scattered on the deck and grass… acorns piling up on sidewalks… crunching underfoot… hoodie weather 🥶


Breakfast indoors… hot tea 🫖 warming the cockles… the hubs hot coffee ☕️ and mini turkey wrap gone in moments…  Election Day… did you vote? Our civic duty completed mid afternoon… back in time for afternoon tea 🫖 and a snack…  dropping off the hubs for his late PT session… 


It’s bread day 🥖 woot woot… baked off the seeded dough… aged in the fridge… sliced warm for supper… poppy, sesame and caraway seeds mixed in made for a delicious loaf…  topped with whipped buttah… mmmmm 😋

Served alongside eggs and breakfast sausage… don’t you just love breakfast for dinner 🥘 


Listening to the speakers at COP26 (climate summit)  It’s time we all told the truth… saving the planet 🌎 isn’t the agenda… our great Mother Earth will do what is necessary to save herself… it’s humanity that is sewing the seeds of our own demise by not respecting the interwoven connectivity of all plants animals… humans… and natural resources.
